A Message from Founder & CEO Cindy Elsbernd

We all have the power to make an IMPACT. It is a matter of opportunity and choice – choosing what and how.

I founded Iowa Kidstrong, Inc. in 2005 in response to what has been declared one of today’s most pressing threats to our children and families - childhood obesity (RWJF, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, 2005). Turning the current trends of inactivity and poor nutrition downside up is crucial in impacting our children’s current and future health.
